The Illio 2018-2019 Yearbook

Role: Design Editor

Design responsibilities: Design the cover art, page layouts and templates, icons and graphics, and photography placements of the entire yearbook.

Leadership responsibilities: Manage and oversee at least 10 junior designers that worked with me to recreate page designs based on master templates that I created.

Programs used: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Indesign, and Balfour Publishing website and tools.

I started my design career early in college as a freshman when I approached our college yearbook organization and ask to be a part of it. I had experience in high school as a graphic designer and in our school’s yearbook and I applied for a design editor position. This was my first serious and paid leadership and design role since I realized that I can use my design skills for an actual job opportunity.
